CPVA MEETING MINUTES
MINUTES APPROVED
Janurary 19, 2004 7:30 p.m.
Attendance: Ann Schultz, Ron Schultz, Gail Carney, Rita Joseph, Ed Rushing, Ray Penton, Nancy Philips, Beverly Fisher, Richard Learn, Holly Steinke, Staci Bell, Willie Johnson, Allyson Malone, Michael McDaniel, Julie McDaniel.
- 7:30pm- meeting called to order by Ray Penton, introduction of village officers. Introduction of new residents Resident comment by Ron Schultz reminding everybody that the Needham Road Fire Department’s Chili Cook-off will be held February 28th from 3-7pm. Consideration of March meeting minutes, motion made to approve minutes, motion passes and carries. Village liaison’s report given by Holly Steinke Michael and Julie McDaniel from Ginger Springs Pl. Voice concern over the fact that there is no street light on their street. Willie Johnson said he would make some phone calls the following day to find out what can be done. Resident question regarding the progress of the parking at Wimberly Park, Holly Steinke says that she will check into this. Winners of the Holiday Lighting Contest are announced. Best home was 2 Rambling Ridge, and best neighborhood was awarded to Capshaw Ct. Ray Penton reminds everyone of the upcoming elections on February 14th, and encourages all residents to get out and vote. Treasurer’s report given by Ray Penton TWA report given by Willie Johnson: It is ok to use 2201 Lake Woodlands as our registered mailing address. New neighborhood in the village of Grogan’s Mill will fall under the TWA umbrella. Willie announces construction of new homes being built at Harper’s Landing and Trade Center Pkwy. 68 homes are being built there, with construction beginning in the near future, pricing is believed to start at or about $90,000 and go upward. Committee Reports : Nothing to report from Civic and Residential Committee. For the Social Committee Nancy Phillips reports that we are tentatively scheduling our Spring Fling for May, but do not have an exact date as of yet. Also reports that she would like to begin working on plans for our 4th of July float as soon as possible. Communications report by Allyson Malone, the webpage is updated with a printable version of our scholarship application. Program Committee report by Rita Joseph announcing representative from CISD school board will be attending our February Village meeting. Scholarship report given by Gail Carney, we are currently receiving scholarships, the deadline to turn in your application is March 15th. Ray reports that the no u-turn signs on SH 242 have made a huge difference with traffic control.
